Inner Work Challenges

Most of us are walking around with an entire inner world and sense of identity built on things we were told about ourselves before we were old enough to question them. We absorbed beliefs from our parents — who absorbed them from theirs.

We built armor and strategies and carefully managed versions of ourselves in response to experiences we didn't choose. And over time, without even realizing it — we became unreliable narrators of our own identity. Of our wounds and weaknesses. Of our circumstances, our relationships, our self-worth, our tightly held beliefs. We started calling all of that reality. We started calling it who I am.

What if the version of reality you've been living inside is just that? A version? Shaped by fear, by old wounds, by what you needed to believe to fit in, to be accepted, to feel safe, wanted or admired?

If you practice this challenge as intended, you will naturally begin to reorient your thoughts, your words, your actions and your choices toward the truths of your existence.

You will begin to move in the direction your soul has been trying to take you all along. And you will start to shed the skins that were never yours in the first place.

Scientifically speaking, your survival program is a predictive algorithm your nervous system runs to keep you alive. Your brain takes past data, scans the present for threat cues, and then updates your body in real time…heart rate, breathing patterns, muscle tone, digestion, attention. This is why fear can show up as tight shoulders and a clenched jaw long before you have a coherent thought about it.

Yogically, the primal survival based fear lives at our Root Chakra. It's subterranean. It lives beneath conscious awareness.

If safety hasn't been sensed consistently by you then…hypervigilance naturally became the script of your inner narrative. Your protective mind became the authority that signs off on every action you take.

 When primal fear is running the Root Chakra…you don’t just feel afraid.You second-guess yourself. You outsource your knowing. You look for safety in other people’s certainty.

The walls you built to survive…may now be the very walls that imprison you.

The Root Chakra doesn’t respond to affirmations or logical thinking . It's animalistic…instinctual…ancient. It responds to the deep memories stored throughout the neural network in the body…to repetition…to felt proof.

Which is why we created this 14 Day Challenge to Reset your the Root Chakra by giving it simple, consistent proofs of your safety so it may release the fear based grip running as constant anxiety in your system.

Each day brings a breath based meditation, a teaching, and three journaling prompts designed to help you locate as well as name your particular scarcity wounds and begin to genuinely heal what has been driving the fear.
